The recreational bag limit will be one red snapper per person per day. This year’s quota is 1,913,451 pounds, just slightly higher than the previous years. Whether there is a recreational mini-season for red snapper in the South Atlantic Region during 2020 is up in the air. There may be an extra season in the fall, but that will depend on if the quota is not met. So this year, they might be cut off.

A limited recreational fishing season for red snapper in Atlantic waters would be weekends only (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) beginning July 13. State Season (Gulf of Mexico) - The 2020 State Season is open June 11th through July 25th, with a possibility of reopening in the Fall if quota is available.
For commercial fishing, the red snapper season is from July 13 to Jan. 1, 2021.
